This time around we'd like to share the first version of our research bundle on prehistoric paganism. This bundle consists of a variety of academic papers on the subject of religion and mythology in prehistory.
Needless to say, this is a very tricky field of research, as there are no written sources from that time. The bundle contains the following literature:
- Ana Maria Silva - The megalithic builders
- Andreas Nordberg - The Grave as a Doorway to the Other World - Architectural Religious Symbolism in Iron Age Graves in Scandinavia
- Fowler, Chris - Ontology in Neolithic Britain and Ireland - Beyond Animism
- Frederico Sanchez-Quinto et al - Megalithic tombs in western and northern Neolithic Europe were linked to a kindred society
- Gonzalo Aranda Jimenez - Chronology of Megalithic Funerary Practices in Southeastern Iberia
- Gonzalo Aranda Jimenez - New Insights into the Radiocarbon Chronology of Iberian Megalithic Societies
- Gonzalo Aranda Jimenez - The tempo of the Iberian megalithic rituals in the European context
- Kurt W Alt et al - A community in life and death
- Maria Wunderlich - Megalithic monuments and social structures
- Miriam Vilchez Suarez et al - Burial taphonomy and megalithic ritual practices in Iberia - the Panoria cemetery
- Rick Peterson - Do caves have agency
You can download the full bundle here
Eventually, once we've sifted through the material, a full version will be added to our website, so keep an eye on that as well.
If you know of any other good resources on the study of religion and mythology in prehistory, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]!
Bye for now ✌
