Can I cry?

My partner is away for the next five days for work. Thankfully, despite being a pilot, he is home most nights, which I really, really enjoy. That doesn’t happen very often in this industry, so I’m very grateful to be this lucky.

This means that the household duties fall on me, especially trying to keep four adult kids on top of their cleaning game. Since I work full time, and I’m trying to find time for writing, I need all the help I can get.

So today, I went to work from 06:30-02:30, then went grocery shopping. When I came home, I sat three of the kids down and we had a family meeting. Not sure exactly what the outcome of the meeting will be, but I’ll let you know next month whether I survive. Haha

Does your partner ever go away for work? If so, respond back to this email and let me know what they do and what you do when they go away for work. I aim to be productive, but he’s the one who lights the fire under my butt and keeps me on task, so let’s see how I do on my own. lol
