Hi ,
I just published a new video that I think you'll find incredibly useful – especially if you're tired of Jira interrupting your coding flow every five minutes.
Watch: "Stop Fighting Jira: Install imdone-cli and Work with Issues Like Code in 5 Minutes" 👉 https://youtu.be/3ZyYnfSFOnc
What You'll See in This Video
I walk you through the complete setup process in real-time:
- Installing imdone-cli via npm (takes 30 seconds)
- Connecting to your Jira instance with guided prompts
- Pulling your first issues as markdown files
- Exploring the clean folder structure it creates
- Quick demo of editing issues and syncing comments
The whole setup really does take under 5 minutes. No complicated configuration files, no complex authentication setup – just a few simple prompts and you're working with Jira issues like they're code files.
Why This Matters
How many times this week have you:
- Lost your coding flow switching to Jira?
- Waited for a slow Jira page to load?
- Struggled to copy issue details into your IDE?
imdone-cli solves all of this by bringing your issues directly into your development environment. Edit them in your favorite editor, sync changes back to Jira, and never break your flow again.
Try It Out (Free!)
Want to test it yourself? You can grab a free 2-week trial at imdone.io – no credit card required.
The goal isn't to replace Jira, but to make it work the way developers actually think and operate.
What's Next?
This is the first in a series of videos I'm creating about developer workflow optimization. Next up: I'll show you the advanced workflows my team has discovered, including how they use AI to generate sprint reports from the markdown files (!).
Let me know what you think of the video – and if you try imdone-cli, I'd love to hear about your experience.
Happy coding, Jesse
P.S. If you know other developers who fight with Jira daily, feel free to forward this their way. The more developers who escape the browser tab hell, the better! 😄
