Hi All,
You may have seen some details on Facebook about this year's Winter League, which will run from June to August.
In our first league we experienced a 34% increase in average player numbers, compared to the prior 2 months. We encourage you to get in behind this unique concept. It is the only automated pub quiz format in the world, and offers a major point of difference for your quiz events.
We are expecting 23 venues to participate in this year's league (with final numbers to be determined in the next few weeks). That will mean over 250 spot prizes and lots of competition for the top team rankings!
Below, especially for our new venues, is a full outline of the different components of the league.
How the Qwizard Winter League works?
- Automated Winter League tables - Our website shows live league tables and separate rankings during the league, updated live after every event. These are also shared in the automated Qwizard emails that go to teams. We find that teams like to engage in the separate rankings during the league.
- Weekly Spot Prizes - Every Friday on Facebook we draw a random $30 prize for a non-winning team from every regular event for that week. Teams placed 1st or 2nd can't win this random prize. The cost of this prize is funded by a $15 subsidy in your monthly invoice. We notify you and the winning teams each week and they pick up the voucher from where they played. You can apply special terms on these vouchers if you prefer e.g.used within 2 weeks.
- Grand Final & Top Team Prizes - The top South Island teams will be invited to a Grand Final event in September. Every team who qualifies for the Grand Final wins, with $0000's of vouchers, presents and prizes on offer - and the chance to be crowned top Qwizard team for 2021. A minimum of 3 events is required to earn a league ranking and be offered these top team awards. Our North Island teams will earn winner's vouchers based on their final team rankings. Again, all winning vouchers will be subsidised by 50%.
- Rules - We simply require that you and your Quiz Hosts are extra diligent around cheating and timeframes, etc. We do impose a maximum team size of 8 during the league.
- Marketing - We will be giving out Qwizard pens, which will arrive with your next lot of Playbooks. We are also creating a special poster for you to promote the league. This year they will be personalised posters, supplied electronically. Alongside this activity it is important that your Host helps to promote the league in your outlet and can answer any questions. Please communicate the details with relevant staff.
We have started a marketing programme on Facebook. As we go, more details will be available on our Facebook User Forum page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/754069028621035/?ref=share
And, as always, if you want some support or assistance to get more out of your quiz, please let myself or Guy know.
Thanks
Shane
