And then there's the other kid: throws nothing but strikes, sits at 66 mph, and can't seem to add velocity no matter how hard he tries.
Everyone treats these as two different types of pitcher. Like some arms are just built for gas, and some are just built for command. That's not true, and believing it is exactly what keeps hard throwers labeled "raw" and keeps accurate pitchers stuck in a permanent low gear.
