Hi ,
Welcome back to Refuel 🔥 your weekly space to pause, reset, and reconnect with your body, your energy, and what matters most.
Because running on empty was never the plan.
This week feels like one of those gentle reminders that simple things matter.
A bit of sunshine.
A bit of movement.
A bit of breathing space.
And when those things come together… your body notices.
So before we dive in, if you can — step outside today, lift your face to the light, and take a slow breath.
That counts as wellness too.
🔥 THIS WEEK’S FOCUS: KEEPING IT SIMPLE (AND EFFECTIVE)
There’s a lot of noise in the wellness world.
But when you strip it back, your body really responds to:
• Consistent movement
• Strength work
• Good sleep
• Fresh air + daylight
• Nervous system support
You don’t need extremes.
You need rhythm.
💬 QUESTION OF THE WEEK
“How much exercise do I actually need to stay strong and healthy?”
It's a great question and one that comes up a lot.
Guidelines from the American College of Sports Medicine suggest:
• Strength training at least 2 times per week
• Regular movement across the week (walking, mobility, daily activity)
• A mix of strength, balance, and flexibility — especially as we move through midlife
But here’s the important part…
It doesn’t need to be intense.
It needs to be consistent and supportive.
Pilates is a brilliant way to meet these guidelines — building strength, improving posture, and supporting your nervous system all at once.
If you’d like a deeper dive into this, I’ve broken it down here:

⚡ MINI WELLNESS BOOST (2 MINUTES)
The Sun + Stretch Reset
If the sun is out, try this:
• Step outside
• Reach your arms overhead
• Take a slow inhale through your nose
• Exhale and soften your shoulders
• Repeat 4–5 times
Light + movement + breath = a powerful reset for body and mind.
☀️ TOP TIP: ENJOY THE SUN (WITHOUT OVERDOING IT)
We need sunlight — but we don’t need to bake in it.
Here’s why a little sun each day helps:
1️⃣ Vitamin D support
Essential for bone health, immunity, and overall wellbeing
2️⃣ Better mood + energy
Light exposure supports serotonin and circadian rhythm
3️⃣ Improved sleep
Morning daylight helps regulate your sleep-wake cycle
So yes — enjoy it.
But gently, consistently, and without overexposure.

💜 A NOTE FROM ME
This time of year can sometimes make us feel like we should be doing more.
More movement.
More changes.
More “starting fresh.”
But honestly?
You don’t need to overhaul your life.
You just need to support your body in small, consistent ways.
That’s where the magic is.
Tip of the Week:
You don’t need perfect conditions to look after yourself.
You just need a small window and the willingness to use it.
Love + wellness,
