It's tech week for Lucy Kirkwood's THE CHILDREN! Our cast and crew are working hard to polish their storytelling for the opening weekend (THIS Thursday-Saturday!)
January 29th - February 15th at the Fifty-Niner Speakeasy
(PSSST...Discounted tickets are available for the first weekend only)
Production spotlight: Dinah Mann (Hazel)
Dinah Mann (Hazel) is thrilled to be performing in her first production with SET. Recent credits include Boyet in Love’s Labour’s Lost (Star Bar Theatre) and Camillo in The Winter’s Tale (Counterweight Theatre Lab). Dinah is deeply grateful to Lucy Kirkwood for creating such rich, complex characters.
About the play
Retired nuclear scientists Hazel and Robin's attempt at a "new and exciting chapter of their lives" after nuclear disaster are suddenly upended when a long lost friend (rival? lover? colleague?) appears at their coastal cottage.
The characters in this play are flawed and loving, kind and selfish. They have a deep shared history, now potentially explosive. They, like many of us, are frightened of what they can’t control.
