August Flash Fiction and Art Contest πŸ–ŠοΈπŸŽ¨

Write or create with your favorite art medium to enter and win a $10 digital Amazon card.

Good Morning, !

This email is jampacked with two creative opportunities this month: writing and art! First off is the ever-popular Flash Fiction. The response has been more than I ever hoped for. Your 1,000-word stories are a delight to me, my judge, and other Andi fans (on the blog). Someone requested that I create a "school-oriented" prompt and image, so I did. You can choose Andi's age for both of the Circle C prompts.

Along with the requested school prompt, I included my originally planned image of Andi hiding in the stable/barn, as well as the Goldtown image and prompt. It's amazing that the last two winners wrote Goldtown stories! You just never know. Here are the three prompts from which you may choose your adventure. The rules are below. You may click the image or the button to submit your story on the Google Form.

RULES:

PROMPTS:

JEM COULTER. They knew the tunnel should not lead upward--but it did.

ANDI CARTER. (School). A note slipped into her desk . . . but who was it from, and what did it mean?

ANDI CARTER (Stable/barn). The latch began to rise . . . and Andi had nowhere to hide.

Next up is the ART CONTEST. A number of you have been waiting for this! And August is the best month, when most of you are out of school and have time to be creative with colored pencils, charcoal, paints, and other mediums. You may see the only other art contest I have ever hosted by going here πŸ‘‰ ART CONTEST 2024.

The only difference between that art contest and this one is the previous contest included a prompt, and the artwork must reflect that prompt. This time around, it's wide open. Whatever you want to draw, paint, model, color is only limited by this one rule: It must have something to do with either the Circle C settings and characters or the Goldtown settings and characters. I'm not dividing it up like last time into categories.

This is not a fancy art contest with huge prizes like last year. Just a fun addition to the bi-monthly writing contest. Carefully read the rules below to learn how to submit.

Coloring Fun from Fans

Last week I sent out Activity Packs for those warm summer afternoons when you just want to relax and maybe color or draw. Whoever colors one of the pictures and sends it in, I always share with you! This month is an Art Contest, but maybe one month I should do a simple coloring contest (like you see at dentist offices or other places, especially around the holidays. Hmm, food for thought).

If you missed the activity packs from last week, you can grab them hereπŸ‘‰ Circle C Goldtown
