British Landlords Association Landlord News & Market Insight Survey reveals: One in five landlords forced to sell up after the Renters’ Rights Act A new survey from Mortgage Lane indicates substantial movement in the buy-to-let market as landlords reassess their portfolios, borrowing costs and investment structures. At a glance: 23% plan to buy more property, 17.7% plan to sell one property, 13.3% plan to sell multiple properties and 8.8% expect to leave the market completely. Most respondents (61.1%) own four or five UK properties. A further 15% own between six and ten, while 3.5% own more than 21 properties. Scotland accounts for the largest share of respondents’ buy-to-let properties at 18.6%, followed by the North East at 11.5% and the South East at 10.6%.
