Can you believe it's already Virgo season?!

I'm still a bit in shock that we're nearly into September. Though I'm also excited that we're edging into Autumn!! Oh and I've got a birthday coming up.

That's such a strange thing to think about honestly. This is my 40th birthday and it's so odd to type that out let alone know that benchmark is right around the corner.

I'll also be celebrating my middle little this coming month! Oh and we'll be heading to the coast for an end of summer vacation this coming week and school is starting and on and on!

Oh... and there's that little Mercury Retrograde thing that just started...

Mercury Retrograde Survival Tips!!

Let's be honest, whether you follow the astrological trends or not, we've all had experience with this 'dreaded' phase. It is typified by electronic and technological malfunctions, plans going completely sideways, epic miscommunications, and all things haywire and crazy.

Some experts have even advised this to be the most intense retrograde of the year as it coincides with Virgo season. Yet I personally don't believe this is a time to shut yourself away and accept that everything is going to suck for the next few weeks.

So what do we do to get through it? Well I suggest using the Three Re's of Retrograde!

• Retrospection: Often the things that fall apart or malfunction provide us with a much needed pause. To look within and tune out the distractions so that we can evaluate the 'what' and 'why' of what we're doing.
• Respect: Far too often we speak in haste only to regret or realize too late how our words have been taken by those around us. Now is a time to really think before opening the mouth. Is what we're about to say, helpful?
• Reorganize: Rather than being derailed when things go wrong or break down, try shifting plans, expectations, and perceptions. After all, every perceived failure carries with it a lesson and an opportunity to learn from the mistake.
