Dear ,
Happy New Year 🤍
If I’m honest, I know this greeting can feel complicated.
For many parents of children with cerebral palsy, a new year doesn’t automatically bring excitement. Sometimes it brings quiet questions:
Will this year be easier?
Will I have more strength?
Will things finally feel lighter?
So today, I don’t want to rush you into resolutions or pressure you with expectations.
I want to remind you of something important:
You made it here.
Not because the journey was easy.
Not because you had all the answers.
But because you showed up—again and again—when it mattered.
This new year doesn’t ask you to become a different parent.
It invites you to become a gentler one.
A calmer one.
A more supported one.
This year can be about:
• less pressure
• more alignment
• fewer unrealistic expectations
• deeper peace in your daily life
Progress doesn’t have to be loud.
Growth doesn’t have to be rushed.
And thriving doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay.
It means learning how to carry this journey with wisdom, faith, and support.
As we step into this new year together, I encourage you to ask yourself one simple question:
What do I need more of this year—not for my child, but for me?
Rest?
Clarity?
Support?
Confidence?
Whatever your answer is, know this:
You don’t have to walk this year alone.
Thank you for being part of this community.
Thank you for trusting me.
And thank you for choosing, once again, to hope.
May this year meet you with peace.
May it hold you gently.
And may you learn to thrive—one intentional step at a time.
With love and hope,
Catherine Irene
