Hi ,
For the longest time, Chioma did everything for her son.
She fed him quickly because it was faster.
Picked things up for him before he tried.
Completed tasks before he had the chance to struggle through them.
Not because she was doing anything wrong.
She was just tired… and trying to help.
But one day, she realized something important:
If her child was going to grow in independence, she had to stop focusing only on “getting things done” and start creating opportunities for participation.
So she started small.
She gave him more time to respond.
Allowed him to attempt simple tasks.
Reduced the pressure to make everything perfect.
And slowly, progress started showing up in little ways.
Because independence is not built in one day.
It grows through small daily opportunities repeated consistently.
Sometimes the goal is not to do more for your child.
It’s to help your child gradually do more for themselves. 💚
And honestly?
That becomes easier when you stop trying to fix everything at once.
That’s one of the biggest lessons many parents are learning inside our 5-Day Home Therapy Reset.
Simple routines.
Clear guidance.
Practical daily actions that actually fit real life.
WE START TOMORROW 💚
