We are pleased to invite you to a free, in-person academic workshop organized by UdEkoM Balkans (Association of Economists and Managers of the Balkans) and hosted at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade.
The workshop will be led by Prof. Samira Hosseini, an internationally experienced researcher, educator, editor, and publication strategy expert.
What does it take to publish in top-tier journals?
Publishing successfully is not only about producing a good research paper. It requires understanding what leading journals are looking for, what kinds of papers are currently being accepted, how to position your research, and how to build a sustainable publication pipeline over time.
During this approximately 2.5-hour intensive workshop, Prof. Hosseini will share practical insights into:
the fundamentals of publishing in top-tier and Q1 journals;
the core principles behind papers with strong publication potential;
what kinds of research and papers journals are currently looking for;
how to develop a strong paper pipeline rather than approaching publication one paper at a time;
practical strategies for achieving more consistent and sustainable publication output;
common questions, concerns, and dilemmas academics face during the publication process.
A dedicated Q&A session will provide participants with an opportunity to discuss their questions and publication challenges directly with Prof. Hosseini.
Meet the Instructor: Prof. Samira Hosseini
Prof. Samira Hosseini holds a BSc in Applied Physics, an MSc in Polymer Chemistry, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
She served as Director of the Writing Lab at the Institute for the Future of Education, Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she led initiatives in educational research, faculty development, and publication strategy training for more than 12,000 faculty members, helping them publish over 2,500 articles in top-tier journals and conferences.
Prof. Hosseini has authored 180+ scientific publications and 15 books and holds 8 intellectual properties. She is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of the IEEE Education Society, Editor-in-Chief of Intelligent Nudge in Education (NudgEd), and serves on the editorial boards of several international peer-reviewed journals. She is also a Visiting Professor at the Universidad de Huelva, Spain, and President of the global SAMYRAD Conference.
