About the Workshop
This practical, hands-on workshop is designed for researchers who want to integrate generative artificial intelligence into their academic workflow: ethically, efficiently, and with measurable results.
Across two full days, participants will learn how AI tools support all stages of research: idea development, literature review, methodology, data analysis, interpretation, and academic writing.
Through guided demonstrations and supervised exercises, each participant will apply AI tools to their own topic and complete the workshop with a draft scientific paper created with AI assistance.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Understand generative AI in research
- Explain key concepts of generative AI
- Identify advanced tools to enhance research productivity
Master prompt engineering
- Create effective prompts for: literature search, synthesis, methodology, analysis, writing, and presentations
Use AI across all research stages
- Draft abstracts and introductions
- Conduct structured literature reviews
- Formulate research questions and hypotheses
- Analyze, visualize, and interpret quantitative or qualitative data
Apply AI ethically and responsibly
- Understand principles of transparency, academic integrity, and responsible AI use
- Critically evaluate and verify AI-generated content
Workshop Outcomes
Participants will leave with:
✔ A complete draft of a scientific paper
✔ Personalized AI-enhanced research workflows
✔ Practical skills for immediate application
✔ A deeper understanding of ethical AI use in science
