Here is a recap of our message from this weekend...

Uncommon Cents: Pour Out

image

Pastor Jared brought the series “Uncommon Cents” to a close with the powerful message “Pour Out.” This sermon encouraged believers to position themselves to receive God’s blessings by first giving back to Him. Malachi 3 served as the foundation for understanding the principles of tithing, obedience, and trust in God’s promises. We also announced a BRAND NEW Financial Coaching program in partnership with Financial Peace University and Ramsey+. This program is available to ANYONE who signs up for God's Guarantee.

Weekly Bible Study List

  1. Malachi 3:7 - “Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD Almighty.
  2. Malachi 3:8 - "Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me."
  3. Malachi 3:10 - "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house."
  4. Proverbs 3:9 - "Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops."
  5. Luke 6:38 - "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap."

3 WAYS TO PREPARE TO RECEIVE FROM GOD

  1. Giving is Expected, Not Extraordinary - Giving back to God is not an act of super-spirituality but the baseline of Christian obedience. Malachi calls us to “return to God” by giving Him what is already His. This act of faith positions us to receive His blessings and is a fundamental step in living a life aligned with His will.
  2. Giving is a Test - God challenges us to “test Him” in Malachi 3:10, promising to pour out blessings when we trust Him with our finances. Tithing demonstrates trust and positions us for greater freedom, both spiritually and materially. Pastor Jared illustrated this with the analogy of a sponge: just as a sponge must pour out water to avoid becoming stagnant, we must give to remain spiritually vibrant.
  3. Giving Comes with a Guarantee - The final point emphasized that faithful giving aligns us with God’s promises, including blessings too abundant to contain. Pastor Jared introduced “God’s Guarantee,” a challenge to give and witness the faithfulness of God. The church also provided tools like financial coaching and resources to help members honor God with their finances.

From Sermon to Action

The sermon closed with a call to action: take the step of faith to pour out, trust God with your finances, and position yourself for His overflow of blessings. The action was to join the 90 Day God's Guarantee Challenge.
