Here is a recap of our message from this weekend...

The End: Live Ready

image

In “Live Ready,” Pastor Jared kicked off the The End series by calling the church to focus not on predicting the return of Christ, but on preparing for it. Drawing from Matthew 24, Luke 21, and other scriptures, he challenges believers to stop panicking about the signs of the times and instead live on mission—rooted in God’s Word, grounded in truth, and bold in faith.

Weekly Bible Study List

  1. Matthew 24:6 (NLT) – “And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic…”
  2. Luke 21:13 (NLT) – “But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me.”
  3. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV) – “Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord…”
  4. 2 Timothy 3:1–5 (NLT) – “In the last days there will be very difficult times…”
  5. Matthew 24:35 (NLT) – “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.”

The Sunday Outline & Notes

Pastor Jared opens the message by confronting a common behavior: our obsession with predictions. Just like we put too much faith in the weather app, many believers fixate on end-times speculation. But Jesus never called us to panic—He called us to prepare.

Jesus' conversation with His disciples in Matthew 24 sets the foundation. As He sits on the Mount of Olives, He outlines signs of the end but quickly pivots to what matters most: living ready. The signs aren’t meant to stir fear, but to stir faith.

Point 1: The Signs Are Real, But So Is Our Assignment

Jesus described the chaos to come—wars, famines, earthquakes—not to paralyze us with fear but to prepare us for purpose. Luke 21 reminds us that persecution and hardship are not setbacks, but opportunities to share the Gospel. Just like a trained pilot in turbulence, believers are meant to stay focused, steady, and on mission.

Point 2: When Signs Increase, So Does Opportunity

Referencing 2 Timothy 3, Pastor Jared illustrates how we are living in the very days Paul warned about. But the increasing darkness in the world is not just a problem—it’s a platform. Just as diamonds shine brightest against a dark backdrop, so will our faith shine in dark times.

Point 3: The World Will Shake, But God’s Word Will Not

Culture may shift, deception may rise, and standards may fall—but the Word of God remains unshakable. Anchoring to truth before the storm hits ensures you won't fall when life starts moving fast. Being unfamiliar with God in a crisis leads to instability; but being anchored in His Word creates spiritual strength.

From Sermon to Action

Pastor Jared closes with a heartfelt challenge: If Jesus returned tomorrow, would He find you faithful today? This isn’t a moment to fear the end—but to live for eternity, right now. Here were the 3 practical takeaways from the service:

  1. Stay Alert – Identify worldly influences and replace them with godly inputs.
  2. Stay Grounded in Truth – Build a 15-minute daily habit (Word, Prayer, Worship).
  3. Join the Mission – Invite someone to church or start serving on a ministry team.

Worship Setlist

  1. Friend of God
  2. No One Like the Lord (We Crown You)
  3. Holy Forever (Live)
