Here is a recap of our message from this weekend...
All In Your Head: Calm in the Chaos
Daniel introduced the "All In Your Head" series by addressing anxiety, its root causes, and the battlefield of the mind. Using Philippians 4:6-7 as the anchor, he taught that the key to overcoming anxiety is through prayer, trust, thanksgiving, and persistent dependence on God. Daniel challenged listeners to exchange social media habits for a deeper connection with the Word, and to find the true peace that only Jesus can offer.

The Sunday Outline & Notes
All In Your Head: Finding Calm in the Chaos
Daniel warmly welcomed guests and kicked off One City Church’s new series "All In Your Head," focusing on mental health struggles like anxiety and depression. He encouraged everyone not to minimize these battles but to recognize where they happen — in the mind.
The Battleground of the Mind
Daniel emphasized that while mental struggles are "all in your head," they are very real. Our mind is where fear, anxiety, and depression wage war, but it's also where hope, praise, and victory are found.
Sharing personal stories, Daniel connected deeply with those battling anxiety. He pointed out that trauma and especially social media consumption significantly fuel anxiety today. He urged listeners to replace social media habits with Scripture and real connection with God.
The Framework for Fighting Anxiety (Philippians 4:6-7)
1. Don't Be Anxious — Trust God
- Anxiety grows where trust stops. True surrender involves releasing outcomes to God.
2. Pray and Petition
- Prayer is simply talking to God. Supplication requires us to be persistent, just as the persistent widow was with the judge (Luke 18).
3. Be Thankful
- Thanksgiving isn’t based on circumstances; it’s rooted in who God is.
4. Present Your Requests with Confidence
- Come boldly and vulnerably before God, confident that He hears and acts.
