Here is a recap of our message from this weekend...
EMPOWERED: TRANSFORMERS
In a world that constantly pushes us toward extremes, Jesus invites us into something better...grace and truth. In this grand finale message titled “Transformers”, Pastor Jared explores John 8 and the powerful encounter Jesus had with a woman caught in adultery. Jesus didn’t condemn her, but He didn’t ignore her sin either. He gave her a new start and a clear path forward. That’s what it means to live empowered.

The Sunday Outline & Notes
Pastor Jared opens with the tension of our culture—everything is either one side or the other. But Jesus operated differently. He wasn’t “either/or.” He was “both/and”—fully grace and fully truth (John 1:14). The message challenges us to embrace the same empowered life Jesus modeled.
We explore the story of the woman caught in adultery. The Pharisees try to trap Jesus into choosing between mercy and the Law. But Jesus shows a better way: grace that forgives and truth that transforms.
Point 1: Grace Gives You a New Start
Romans 2:4 reminds us it’s God’s kindness—not judgment—that leads to repentance. Grace doesn’t lower the standard. It gives you the strength to rise to it. Jesus tells the woman, “Neither do I condemn you,” offering her a brand-new beginning.
Point 2: Truth Keeps You On Course
Truth isn’t restrictive—it’s a blueprint. It aligns your life with God’s design. Without truth, we drift. With truth, we build lives that last. Jesus didn’t just forgive; He directed her: “Go and sin no more.”
Point 3: Transformation Takes Two
You need both grace and truth. One without the other is incomplete. Grace without truth leads to compromise. Truth without grace leads to condemnation. But together, they lead to transformation. Like water and cement becoming concrete—only together are they strong enough to carry weight.
From Sermon to Action
This message closes with a challenge: empower the 5 areas of influence in your life. You’re not powerless—you’re empowered to live free and lead others into freedom.
- Self – Let grace heal and truth shape.
- Family – Build with connection and direction.
