Hi ,
I’m not sure if you saw my last email about the online course, where I announced that the format of the course will be changing somewhat.
What was originally supposed to be an e-learning course is now going to be a live webinar, where you will get the information & compositional/sound design techniques that was going to be included in the original course (and what I cover in my 1-on-1 lessons with students) at a fraction of the original price.
If you've purchased Module 1, first of all, thank you! If you feel like the philosophies/foundational knowledge in there are things you align with, and you’d like to learn all the practical techniques associated with the ethos of ‘viewing the soundscape as a physical space’, I definitely recommend joining this webinar so that you can get the most out of the information from that introductory portion of the course.
If you're interested in joining the webinar (more details below) but haven't gotten Module 1 yet, I highly recommend going through it first (which can be grabbed via this link), as it will serve as the foundational knowledge for the rest of the course, that unfortunately won't make much sense without Module 1!
Some info about the webinar:
How long will the webinar be?
- 2 sessions of 2.5-3 hours per session
Cost:
- The price has been reduced by 50%, and what was originally planned to be released for $197, is now $97.
- Which boils down to roughly $16 per hour, significantly cheaper than what I charge for 1-on-1 private lessons, but with the same amount of information!
What you get:
- A mindset shift by thinking about sound design in the vein of "sound as physical objects" and "soundscape as physical space", and how this can help you be more unique, and how to design different sounds INTENTIONALLY.
- Sound design techniques for designing the different elements (pads, SFX, bass, leads) that can help you get your technical skills up to speed with your musical tastes.
- Arrangement/composition philosophies that are MORE than just "verse/chorus/verse/chorus"/"intro/buildup/drop" so that you break out of the same patterns of composing.
- A concept cognitive musicologists are calling "the most important tool for a composer to evoke feelings and meaning in their piece".
- Creative mixing aka using the space/placement as ANOTHER emotional tool you can wield when it comes to evoking responses in your listener.
- Live Q&A
- All the presets/effects racks I will be using in the demonstrations
When is it?
Session 1: 12 May 2023
Session 2: 20 May 2023
You can find more details of what will be covered here, head over to save your spot now!
In the meantime, hope all is well and wishing you lots of joy and inspiration in your creative practice, and I look forward to seeing you LIVE very soon!
Cheers,
Arthur
