Hi ka-kiliger!
Celebrating all saints day, is a reminder that all kinds of persons and even those who have had a colorful past made it to be a saint!
It means you and I have the capacity to make it to heaven by cooperating with grace.
St. Therese of Lisieux once said, the more the person becomes closer to God the simpler he becomes.
I have realized that God removes all those desires that obstruct His grace to manifest to us.
Knowing that my body is a sacrament that reveals God, it removed my doubts of the path that I should go - to fix my eyes on God, because it means that it is Love that I am pursuing.
When sin entered mankind, all of the descendants of Adam and Eve had inordinate desires. We desire so many things to satisfy our flesh and our ego, we become forgetful that God still shows his fatherhood to our first parents.
We lose our original body. We look at others maliciously and sometimes to the point of objectifying others.
Our bodies had become corruptible that is why Jesus became “Incarnate” to restore our lost glory.
, I want to remind you that your body is a sacrament, a reflection of God.
As I journeyed through with others in learning theology of the body, my perception about others, my body and myself changed. I began to value and love it.
Let us remember that you and I are wonderfully made.
None of us in this world are accidents. We are all created for a purpose. Ultimately to be a saint and to participate in the Divine Nature of the Holy Trinity. Our body reveals this reality.
As I reflect on this revelation about our bodies, the more I want to glorify God through it. As it is through my body that I respond to the call of holiness.
Tara! Sama-sama tayo tungo sa daan na pagiging Santo!
Kind Regards,
Daisy
