Wowee is May a Crazy Month!!
In my world, just as the flowers begin to sprout, crazy comes with it :) From mid-April to June we have 3 kids birthdays, my birthday (tomorrow, yay!), Mother's day, 3 sports, 2 kids with band concerts, all the end of the year banquets and field trips and events and .... ahh! We literally have to draw graphs on our dry erase board to ensure everyone gets where they are supposed to. (almost every day). But the sun is shining, and it's all good things, so we celebrate with joy.
And ask for help.
A lovely friend started helping me with some of the things that I'm not as wonderful at (like creating logos. She came up with the one above and I just love it! What do you think?

Books I'm excited about
If you haven't read a book by Heidi Chiavaroli or Sara Brunsvold, GO, Run and get one now! They are both so talented and write such inspiring stories and BOTH of them have a book coming out soon.
I had the pleasure of reading an early copy of "The Way Home" and much like the first book in the series, "The Way Back" I loved it :) It was a lovely sequel filled with forgiveness, second chances a surprise twist and sweet romance. It can also stand alone if you haven't read the first.
About the Book: Two lost souls, one lighthouse journey . . . and an unforgettable search for the way home.
At eighteen, Scout Swift ran away from home with a charming swindler. Now, twelve years later, she’s ready to return to Maine to fulfill her late mother’s dream of visiting all the lighthouses in New England. Alone.
Or so she thinks.
Before leaving, Scout discovers a pregnant teenager hiding behind stacks of bird seed at her workplace. The desperate young woman begs to be taken along on Scout's trip. As they explore the coastal lighthouses, the two soon develop an unexpected bond.
Upon their arrival in Maine, Scout tries to reconcile with her estranged father and help her stubborn young friend find her family. But when Scout’s middle school crush attempts to help her heal old hurts, can she find the courage to explore the true meaning of home and healing, before she loses her chance at both?
The Way Home is the second book in the Lights of Acadia series by two-time Carol award-winning author Heidi Chiavaroli. If you like romantic Women's Fiction, you'll love this thoughtful novel steeped in family secrets, second chances, and boundless compassion.
About the book:
A literary journey beckons them . . . and may profoundly rewrite their stories.
Chloe Vance, dreamer of the family, needs to tell her pragmatic mom, Edie, that she has accepted a low-paying art instructor role at a Christian school in Prague. Her older sister, Lauren--the "responsible one"--is doing all she can to hide the fact she's been fired for a foolish mistake and is desperately seeking her next career move. Meanwhile, Edie, estranged from her own sister following their mother's recent death, is frankly in no mood for anything else to change.
The one thing they can all agree on? Life in books sure is easier to navigate than life in the real world. As the three women embark on a nine-day road trip to visit significant literary sites throughout America's heartland, they hope to find inspiration through the works and lives of literary greats. As they experience firsthand the adventure and wonder of the classics, they'll discover the value of being honest with themselves--and their family--about their losses and failures. Only then can they come to terms with their own needs and desires and find support from the most important women in their lives--each other.
