Psst: A bunch of fantasy romance authors have a ton of cool stuff planned for you this month. All free.
It's FaRoFeb '22, short for Fantasy Romance February, and you can find the whole schedule here. Live conversations with fantasy romance superstars like Grace Draven, Jeffe Kennedy and Laura Thalassa. Readathons, giveaways, games and more.
For instance: complete stories in under 2,000 words written by a tag team of authors. I started one, edited another and peeked in on the other two, and these are fun.
Keep an eye out. The micro stories are coming in week three. I'll just say that when I finished writing my 250-word opener, I had a momentary "should I save this and just write the book" thought. (I didn't, but it was tempting.)
Hope to virtually see you at some point this month in the Facebook group.
Short of just, you know, reading, what are your favorite bookish activities?

A few more cool & bookish things
Deal alert: Blood Mercy, with this fabulous new cover, is on sale for 99 cents. Contents:
- Noble vampires (one in particular)
- A seemingly powerless daughter of a terrible king (I loved watching her come into her own)
- Increasingly high-stakes political intrigue
- The Best Dog Ever
- A richly imagined world that takes up residence in your head
And this cover. I could gaze at it all day. So yeah, I had the original and bought the new one just because.
