Nine years ago, I had an idea that wouldn't let me be. It turned into characters first — a wizard and a woman who did not want to be a wizard's assistant — and then a plot. Eventually it was a book, then two, then three.
And that's what I had a year ago: a trilogy, ready to be ebooks and paperbacks. I thought that would be it. Maybe a few people would enjoy the series. Or (I hoped) a few hundred.
Over the past year, it's been thousands. I'm stunned and grateful. So many people have read the Clandestine Magic books that making audiobook versions suddenly didn't seem like a crazy idea.
Now all three audiobooks are newly out in the world, thanks to super narrator Leanne Woodward — and you absolutely awesome readers.
There are hardbacks, too, which wouldn't have happened if reader Kat Dutton hadn't asked. (Thanks for the encouragement, Kat!)

Putting these stories out into the world has been an adventure. But best of all has been getting to know you guys (I love it when you hit reply to ask a question or tell me something) and realizing that these characters in my head are now in your head, too, at least for a little while.
Like a shared dream, really. No dreamside required.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for being part of it. A book really is a journey that a writer and reader take together, and it wouldn't have been possible without you.
