Let me keep it real with you today. Job descriptions? 90% of the time, they’re LIES.
Think of it like when someone writes their “dream partner list”: 6’5”, rich, fine, smart, god-fearing, funny, drives a Benz, chef in the kitchen… (you get the gist).
In reality, they’ll still settle for someone who ticks maybe 60–70% of the boxes.
Recruiters are the same. They’ll put out job posts with 20 requirements, but truth is, they hardly ever get someone that has all of it. Many times, they pick the person who has just enough to do the job well.
👉 So here’s the point: if you see a job and you’re thinking “I don’t qualify,” apply anyway. You don’t need 100%. If you’ve got 60–70%, shoot your shot.
