As I promised in my last email, here is the story of what happened that evening.

It was the early months of selling my services on Linkedin and I was trying everything I laid my eyes on.
By this time, I've read a lot of articles on how to use Linkedin, joined lots of online groups and felt just the way you may be feeling right now.
That feeling of, "If people are making money from this Linkedin, then I must".
And "Why haven't I made money yet on Linkedin?"
So an idea came to my mind that led to what happened that evening.
I decided to purge my account of people that I felt should not be there.
(I later came to know it was called LinkedIn Pruning).
Here's what I did.
I logged into my Linkedin account and deleted nothing short of 500 - 1000 connections.
Who did I delete?
People that did not fall into the persona of people I wanted to connect with on Linkedin.
What were the results of this LinkedIn pruning?
- Became 1st connection with top CEOs and Marketers on Linkedin.
- This led to more meaningful conversations with people I can work with
- Which led to leads and $$$ in the bank.
I'm still enjoying the benefit of that late evening pruning to this moment.
To get results from all your activities on LinkedIn, you need to ensure you're speaking to, connecting with, engaging with, and optimising your profile for the right people.
And you need to specify who these people are.
That evening, I carried out step one of the six-step LinkedIn process that leads to clients and making money from Linkedin – having a clear Linkedin persona.
