About half-way through summer, I know that I want to take a break from sugar.
My "little treats" habits - from banana bread, to a gelato here and there - start stacking up. It's like a reverse habit stack. This might happen to you with alcohol or chips, or it might even be getting out of the groove of fasting at night or daily exercise. Sometimes, we need a mini-shift to get us back on track.
This week, I encourage you to go back to re-read the Healthy Six All About Sugar 2-pager. and give sugar a break (or gluten, or fried food...whatever is your Achilles heel.
It is easy to prepare:
- Tomorrow, have various protein sources on the ready - from eggs to chicken, roasted chickpeas or hummus and veggies.
- Make some quinoa for high-protein salads, or stock up on tuna, tofu etc.
- Commit to six days of super healthy eating, and lots of water.
- Commit to 150 minutes of exercise and refuelling the body.
- Make sure you get 7 hours sleep minimum
- Practice breathing techniques and embrace meditation.
This 7-day plan has complex carbohydrates, too. Feel free to use gluten-free bread in sandwiches, or use it as a guide for food ideas.
Do this meditation. You won't regret it.
My Go-To Treat is Chocolate Covered Almonds. This is H6 Sub!
If you are on holiday, or simply off tech, out of routine and loving it....enjoy.
You can always reset and start again
There is grace in recovery.
There is grace in the moments of rest.
Yours in health.
