Greetings, history (and bargain) lovers!
For years, the FTHS's annual Antiques & Rummage Sale has been a community favorite. This year, we're doing things a little differently: we're adding a second sale, because our rummage bounty has outgrown what the Civic League building can accommodate!
Join us Saturday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the new Furniture & Furnishings Sale, held at the 1930 Annex (the house immediately south of the Meeting House). Park at the Meeting House (6510 S. Franklin Rd.) or in the south end of The Creek's lot next door.
This new sale features primarily furniture, appliances, tools, and home decor items. Two refrigerators (large and small), a dishwasher, a dryer, an oven, kitchen cabinets, numerous power tools, gardening and lawn supplies, Victorian furniture, an English saddle, sports equipment, vintage electronics, handmade quilts, antique bed frames, or a complete outdoor screen room are just a few of the treasures you could snag! This is also the public's first opportunity to see the interior of the 1930 house we're renovating. (It's a work in progress -- consider this your chance to see the "before" picture in person.)
Then on Friday, June 12 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 13 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. we'll hold the Antiques & Rummage Sale. As usual, this sale is at the Franklin Township Civic League building (8822 Southeastern Ave.) in Wanamaker and will feature housewares, tools, toys and games, media, holiday decor, furniture, antiques and collectibles, and more!
Donations for the Antiques & Rummage Sale can be dropped off at the Civic League building on Wednesday, June 10 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. (No clothing or firearms, please.)
All proceeds from the sale support the Franklin Township Historical Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Tax receipts for donations are available.
We hope to see you there!
