Hi ,
First off, thanks to all who have registered for the Fall In Love With Walking Challenge. I'm really excited to get started with our clues - your first one drops into your inbox one week from today! (Link to join up is below) That said, while the majority of folks are excited to start, there have been some interesting responses...
"I can't commit to every day."
"That's too hard for me."
"I can't walk at a fitness level."
"What if it's cold/rainy/gray?"
If I'm being an honest Health Coach, this is a perfect example of what we in the HC world call "work to be done."
You see, whenever you are experiencing resistance or ambivalence about making a change or starting a new habit, it's an indication that you're not ready to start quite yet. Not only is this a NORMAL part of the process, but, unfortunately, no amount of external information or motivation can effectively bridge this gap.
It's got to come from YOU - and the best way to resource that motivation, is with a little help from ME. 🤝
Getting ready to start a new habit means building a bridge between where you are and how you feel today, to where you want to be and how you get there. That's where I come in.
I've created a little assessment to help you resource your motivation and get ready for whatever you want to tackle next, be it the walking challenge or drinkng more H2O. 💧
It starts with a simple assessment, followed by an even "simpler" exercise to fortify the motivating factors that will help you get started.
Click the link below to assess where you are through a brief assessment. Be sure to press the "Unpack your results" button at the end for an exercise to support yourself throughout the challenge and an email tip from yours truly!
As always, thanks for being here!
✌️ Coach JZ
PS - some of you have joined the challenge but still need to set up log in info to access. I'll send an email reminder later today. :)
