Hey 💙 📚
Pumpkin season is upon us.
But before we get fully immersed in the upcoming spooky Halloween vibes, I wanted to share something really fun that I did during the UK's last heatwave.
I took a Sword & Shield screen combat class!
It was SO much fun — I'd never done anything like it before. My legs and arms were extremely sore afterward (not least because I was the one dying in the choreography!), but it was so worth it.
I have choreographed my fight scenes before, but I feel that the class really took it to the next level. One thing is certain, I am forevermore going to fully choreograph all the fight scenes in my books!

Writing Update
Firstly, thank you SO much to everyone who responded to my last email where I asked for help naming a character. You're so creative, and I added tons of names to my idea bank! 'Pete' is still 'Pete' for the moment, but not for long - I'm sure I'll choose one of the names you suggested.
I'm moving forward with the next Deathday Chronicles book, which I'm really happy about. I'm about to introduce a really fun character, and I can't wait for you to meet him. He's got a dark, troubled past and lots of secrets... I hope you'll love him as much as I do!
The Dystopian Guide to the Galaxy
Just a heads up — The Dystopian Guide to the Galaxy, which features my story The LUNA Trials, is only available in ebook format until the end of September! You'll still be able to get paperback and hardback copies afterward, but if ebooks are your jam, then this is your sign to check out the anthology! Also, it's free to read for Kindle Unlimited subscribers.
If you have read The LUNA Trials, I'd love to know what you think! I absolutely love hearing from readers, so please do hit reply and let me know your thoughts! 😊
