Hi friends!
How are you? March has been yet another whirlwind month - I know you're all shocked, ha! My sons both finished their basketball seasons with tournaments in early March. It was so fun to see how much their teams have grown over the past few months! My oldest also performed in his first school musical last weekend (Aladdin Jr), and he did awesome! What a proud mom moment to see him up there delivering his lines with confidence after being held back by stage fright for most of his life. I think his highlights were getting through his 9 lines at each show without any mistakes, playing cards backstage with his classmates, and the cast party :) It's sad the show is over, but we're excited to spend more time together as a family in April now that rehearsals, set construction, etc. are done!
In my writing world, it was so exciting to re-release Traitor on March 11th with my new publisher, Monster Ivy Publishing! I love that my Tales of the Mystics books are getting this opportunity to reach new readers, and it's such a joy every time someone shares how they were touched or inspired by Princess Penelope's redemption story. Book 3 in the series is my next writing project priority!
Speaking of new releases, A Noble Collection is now available in ebook and paperback! This anthology is filled with prequels, sequels, and companion stories to seven of the Cornerstone Series novellas. My story, A Noble Beggar, follows Prince Carre as he tries to escape Walthar disguised as a beggar but gets waylaid by a Duke who forces him to marry his daughter as punishment for rejecting her suitors. It's a fun retelling of King Thrushbeard (as you fairy tale fans probably already guessed!), and if you're wondering whether any favorite characters from A Noble Purpose will make an appearance, the answer is yes :)
My last update for the month is that I'm participating in the Spring Fling Mega Giveaway, and TODAY is the last day to enter! Fill out this form for a chance to win an amazing collection of ebooks and paperbacks from authors of Christian fiction (including A Noble Purpose and A Noble Collection!)!
Have a great rest of the week, and stay tuned for a Special Edition Newsletter coming your way in early April! TONS of discounted and free books that you won't want to miss :) See you then!
Book Spotlights
With the new Disney adaptation coming out, Snow White is all the buzz this week - so may I recommend a fabulous retelling? Hanna Sandvig's books are filled with strong, modern-day heroines, cool ventures into a gorgeous fae world, and plenty of excitement, humor, and clean but swoony romance. If you don't believe me, pick up The Frost Gate for that stunning cover alone!
Do I have what it takes to go from baking pies to saving kingdoms? Who will take care of the chickens if I fail?
While we're talking Snow White retellings, have you read any of Gabrielle Landi's books yet? I've heard such great things and the covers are adorable - she's definitely one of the new authors I want to read next! And Once Upon an Apple just happens to be FREE right now! I just picked up my copy, I hope you will too so we can have a book chat later :)
A lord’s son, a milkmaid, and seven mischievous goats.
I absolutely loved The Shoeless Prince by Jacque Stevens, so imagine my delight when I heard that her new release, The Soulless Prince, tells the story of the princess's brother! And in even better news - she's put the first two books in the series on sale to celebrate! If you enjoy complex characters, snarky humor, and mischievous cats, these books are for you :)
A magical dream-world. A soulless prince. And a crazy, cat-lady on a mission.
Do you get heart-eyes when you see special edition hardcovers? Especially if they have sprayed edges?? Tabitha Bouldin is running a Kickstarter for her Wonderland series with new covers, interior artwork, and more! These books look so gorgeous, and she's put together such a cool array of additional prizes. The initial Kickstarter is already backed, so now they're working on stretch goals!
