image

Hi friends!

The warmest of welcomes to those of you who recently joined us! I hope you'll enjoy these monthly sneak peeks into my writing process and personal life, plus all my authorly updates and book recommendations. I'm so thrilled you're here!

If you found me / my books through the Once Upon 2025 event, it was so much fun celebrating National Fairy Tale Day with you! But if you didn't have a chance to stop by the party yesterday, you still can! Meet amazing authors of clean fairy tale retellings through a series of fun fairytale-themed posts and games, plus *so* many discounted and free books (including A Noble Purpose and The Dancer and the Dragon Speaker by yours truly!)!

Free / Discounted Books!

What have I been working on this month? It's flown by so fast, I hardly know! We spent a rather unromantic Valentine's Day driving for many hours through a snowstorm, but it was totally worth it to spend a long weekend with my sister's family (including our too-adorable-for-words new nephew!!). My 12 and 10-year-olds are wrapping up their basketball seasons, and my 12-year-old will perform in his first play next month, so practices, games, and rehearsals galore! I love getting to support my kiddos in all their various activities, but it will also be a relief to have a less crazy spring!

But I do have a few writing updates! I finished edits on A Noble Beggar, my short story for the Cornerstone Series anthology we're putting together. The release date for A Noble Collection has been pushed back a bit, but I'll let you know once it's available! In the meantime, the entire set of Cornerstone novellas are now complete! I'm so proud of the beautiful stories that came together in this series, and it's definitely bittersweet to see both of my 2024 multi-author series wrapped up. But as I hinted last month, I have more of these types of projects on the horizon...stay tuned!

I'm also thrilled to share that Traitor's re-release is scheduled for March 11th! This book produced so much growth in me both personally and as a writer - apparently the process of redeeming a villain involves a great deal of introspection, at least for me! Princess Penelope's story can be read as a standalone, but her background will make the most sense if you've first read Common, Book One in my Tales of the Mystics series. So now might be the perfect time to get caught up :) I can't wait to dive back into Book 3 soon and finally finish writing it this year!

Pre-Order Traitor!

That's it for today! I hope wherever you are, you're enjoying a hint of the warmth and renewal of spring like we are here in Minnesota. I'd love to hear if you had any favorite activities from the Once Upon 2025 event, if you did anything fun or special for Valentine's Day, and if you have any new book recommendations for me! See you next month!

I love multi-author series of clean romantasy AND books by Tara Grayce, so am I excited for Ties of Bargains (and the entire Tethered Hearts series) to release next month? ABSOLUTELY!!! Dangerous mythical creatures, tricky fae, and a magical bargain, plus Tara Grayce's humor and clean swoon...March 28th can't come fast enough!

A hapless human prince. A cynical fae mercenary. An unbreakable bargain.

Have you read anything by Candice Pedraza Yamnitz yet? I adored Unbetrothed, Book One in the Agate Sea duology, and that gorgeous cover alone would make me want to snatch up the sequel, Untamed! It just released earlier this month, and I can't wait to dive back into this world of curses, secrets, magical powers, and clean (plus banter-y) romance!

When Princess Beatriz falls in love with an enemy prince, her Papá refuses to allow a betrothal unless they can turn it into a treaty.

New Release!

Who here loves hardcover books? Especially when they have a unique new cover?? *raises both hands* Callie Thomas recently released this new hardcover edition of Forest of Stolen Memories, and it's so beautiful!! I read one of her books last year and can't wait to read more, she puts such cool twists on fairy tales and keeps her stories clean while adding so much swoony romance. And this book involves a memory-stealing curse, an enchanted forest, a mysterious recluse...sign me up!
