Hey
I shared this post on LinkedIn and the response has been quite amazing so I thought to share with you.

The best skincare is your diet.
What you put in your mouth impacts all the organs inside your body and it shows up on your skin.
I haven’t taken white sugar or dairy in 2 months and my skin is feeling it.
I used to have a lot of skin tags on my face and it’s cleared a little and I was only made aware of this after my friend pointed it out to me.
The reason I am taking a break from refined sugar and dairy is because my dermatologist recommended it after I suffered an extreme case of eczema on my face a few months ago.
After the excema improved I returned to dairy and the skin irritation returned. So I guess I have to adhere to the instructions of my dermatologist.
Hopefully this journey will be forever but if I fall, it will for ijebu garri and groundnut. Because I love my Ijebu garri and groundnut with some sugar 😁
Today, I super proud of myself.
I used to take powdered milk frequently and also ijebu garri and sugar. It’s taken a lot of discipline to stay away for 60 days.
Back to your skin, it all happens from the inside so be mindful of what is going in there.
I recommend you limit your refined sugar intake but first let me ask you “Do you know how much you are consuming?”
A can of coke contains 10 teaspoons of sugar. This is just to give you an example.
I think a good place to start is to reduce or eliminate sodas from your diet.
If you are over 40, you need to become intentional about your refined sugar intake, because your body is probably dealing with some type of hormanal change and sugar can make it worse.
The good thing is we have access to the right information to drastically improve our health and wellbeing. If we take responsibility for the change we want to see and experience, we can achieve remarkable results.
Till next week
