Hi ,
One of my favorite parts of visiting a new place, or in this case, moving to a new place, is discovering new places to visit as well as restaurants to eat at. Saskatoon, while not as big as Vancouver, is not without its own charm and uniqueness.
We found a restuarant called, "The Cave." While it had a Tatooine feel to it, it was actually based on the Flinstones. The food was homecooked and very delicious.
We also stopped at a place called Goblin's Grill, as you can see in the pictures below. If you like smash burgers, that is the place to go. They were crazy good, but also crazy big. After eating there, you won't feel like eating for hours or days even. haha. I had the War Pig Burger, which was bigger than my mouth, so you can imagine the fun of eating it. I ate more than half before my stomach was like, please no more.
Initially when we were getting ready to move, we were trying to decide what to bring for the small move as we were doing our big main move in the spring. My other half wondered whether or not I should bring my cowboy boots as he didn't think I'd have the opportunity to really wear them and they would take up space in our smallish apartment. But I am glad I did, because while he was away at training, I attended my first ever professional bull riding event, and you guessed it, I went full cowgirl and wore both my boots and my Stetson. *lol* So they were worth bringing.
The event also made me wonder about writing more cowboy stories, such as I did with the sequel to "The Blues of Atlantis," which is called, "The Cowboy's Heritage". But while I wait for an idea to come to me, why don't you keep scrolling to check out another fellow author's book...
xo,
Patricia Elliott
