Dear Thriver ,
If you’re parenting a child with cerebral palsy, there’s a struggle most of us recognize almost immediately — neck control.
It’s one of those things that affects everything:
feeding, sitting, play, communication, confidence.
And when it’s not improving, it can feel discouraging — even overwhelming.
I remember noticing how often my child’s neck would give way.
Not because of lack of effort.
Not because we weren’t trying.
But because the body needed consistent, gentle support in the right places.
One thing I began to notice over time is this:
Neck control isn’t only about the neck.
For my child, soft, consistent massage around the shoulders and neck area made a difference.
Not forceful.
Not rushed.
Just patient, intentional support.
There were moments when the neck still couldn’t hold itself — and that was okay.
That was my cue to slow down, return to the shoulders, and gently help the body feel supported again.
This journey taught me something important:
Progress doesn’t come from pressure.
It comes from understanding, consistency, and kindness.
That’s why I’m inviting you into something special.
If you’re ready to:
• learn how to support your child’s neck control gently
• understand where to focus and why it matters
• stay consistent without overwhelming yourself or your child
• and see real, visible progress over time
Then I don’t want you to miss this.
I’m hosting a Free One-Day Neck Control Challenge to help parents kick-start the year with clarity, confidence, and practical guidance.
This is not about perfection.
It’s about learning what works — and doing it consistently, with support.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to start, this is it.
One intentional step can open the door to meaningful progress.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
And you don’t have to wait another year to begin.
With care and hope,
Catherine Irene
