Happy Sunday Everyone
On Sundays (when the kids don't have sports :-) I let my body do its thing. I do an extra-long meditation - usually with Jasper on me - and read in bed. I have a coffee, and come down to the weekly newsletter. Some Sundays I go for a run or to the gym. I always go for a walk. I listen to what my body needs.
This is very different from how I used to be. I pushed myself when my body didn't want to be pushed, because I was embraced the adage Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."
Here is the thing: That's both true and false.
Yes, I want you to push yourself when we are in our challenging workouts. Our muscles grow when they microscopically tear; our VO2Max improves when we push beyond breathless.
But.
If you are always living outside your comfort zone, there isn't space to recover - and what we know now is that recovery is crucial to building stronger. See below a great article about recovery.
Today: Put on music and dance. Go for a long walk. Ride your bike. Read. Cook for joy. Share your ways you recover with the group - we are all learning from each other
There is still time to sign up for the Healthy Six - and for FITFAM the price is $99
Tonight at 5 PM we are doing a Meal Prep - you can show up and cook what we are cooking. The Healthy Six includes:

This week
NOTE: I am off to Tobago on Thursday night. I will be checking in with the FITFAM and Healthy Six daily and inspiring you from there. I am sourcing out a spot to do a retreat in 2027, and I am shooting content and exploring.
A former FITFAM member once lambasted me saying SHE PAID me for content and live classes. This rattled me, because she said I wasn't doing enough.
This program is a community of health, fitness, friendship and life.
And it has to fit with YOUR life - which is why the classes are there live and always recorded. You have access to thousands of fitness programs, hundreds of recipes and meal prep ideas, podcasts, playlists, research and more. If there is more that you want, you simple have to ask
But it also has to fit with my life.
This spring and summer I have Lily's Nationals (May 14-19), and we have baseball tournaments and other events. I will always provide a MINIMUM of 6 programs weekly for you. We are all in this to live a healthier life. All of us. That means summer we stay consistent, but we also have room for vacation time.
