Happy Sunday!
If you are new here - welcome!
My goal is to inspire people to live a healthier life, one where movement takes center stage, but healthy eating is also on the marquee!
I believe exercise has the most powerful domino effect in our live - when we make exercise a daily habit (and that includes walking!) we make smarter choices about how we eat, sleep, and move in life. But the old saying - you can't outrun a bad diet - is fundamentally true.
Healthy eating and exercise can feel like a part-time job, especially if you are working hard to get the right amount of protein, fiber and healthy fat - and you are trying to strength train AND do cardio.
How do you balance it all?
Quick Tips
- Make a workout plan and have a PLAN A, B and C: Plan A - the workout you want to do, Plan B - the shorter workout you will do, Plan C 5 minutes of exercise snacks, squats or something that gets your heart rate up!
- Choose 80-90 percent of your meals to be healthy (lots of recipes below) with 1 gram of protein per and allow 10-20 percent for treats. Going "all in" for a cleanse or healthy eating boot camp can be great, but is not sustainable for life!
- Go to bed 30 minutes earlier this week - trust me: This is the tip that will change your health the most!
If you are looking for extra support, book a coaching call?
My GROUP coaching program is community of inspiration, with LIVE virtual workouts daily that will get your sweating and feeling amazing. Take a look at the schedule below and if you want to come for a week - it is on ME!
Let's be honest: There are hundreds of thousands of workout videos for free on You Tube. You can get fit by walking 10K steps and doing weights 2-4 times a week.
But in my experience, we all need support. We all need coaches. We need community. If you have that - amazing. Keep going. If you don't - reach out!
And Saturday June 7th is NATIONAL HEALTH AND FITNESS DAY! I am inviting you to a FREE Walk / Run / FLOW class in Riverdale Park. It is a celebration of what your body can do! RSVP here
For this week: Make a quick chia pudding, plan this core workout and get your heart rate up!
