Friends!

We have more new subscribers! Welcome!! I hope you enjoy this monthly insight into my writing, the fun author events I'm participating in, and clean romantasy recommendations. I'm thrilled you're taking a moment of your day to hang out with me :)

Here in Minnesota, February started like spring and is ending with a decidedly more wintry feel. (8 inches of snow last week!) My oldest was accepted into the high school we were really hoping for, plus he made it into the regional spelling bee! My younger kiddos enjoyed many celebrations and activities revolving around Valentine's Day and the Olympics. Add in basketball season and preparations for a school musical, and there's always a lot going on!

But after a few unproductive months (writing-wise, at least), I finally made some progress in February! Not a lot yet, but starting a new story is always a slow process for me as I get to know the characters and figure out the nuances of the plot. But I'm already feeling very emotionally attached to the main couple and their predicament, so that's a great place to start!

What story, you ask? I'm SO EXCITED to share that I'm part of a new multi-author series that will release in the fall / winter of 2026! A Twist of Tales will feature genderbent fairy tale retellings (basically meaning that the original main characters will be swapped), each with an animal sidekick :) I've been having so much fun learning about the other stories in this series - we can't wait to share them with you!

As a starting point, we'll be revealing the covers in March, and we'd love your help! If you're able to share each set of covers (I think they'll be in four groups) on social media and/or your blog, please sign up HERE. Not only will we be so grateful for your help, but you'll be among the first to get a sneak peek at the covers before they're revealed!

In other fun author news, we're a little past Valentine's Day but I didn't want you to miss this fun quiz - a personality test that matches you with compatible authors! Take the quiz HERE to find your best matches, then head HERE to find out how to connect with them! All the authors write sweet romance, perfect for Valentines :)

And coming up later this week, did you know that National Fairy Tale Day is on February 26th? It's the perfect time for authors of fairy tale retellings to band together and come up with fun ways to celebrate, and this year is going to be AMAZING!!! Mark your calendar for this Thursday and save THIS LINK, because the 2026 Fairy Tale Day Adventure only lasts one day! Some of my favorite authors are participating in this event, and it involves puzzles, games, and *exclusive* freebies. (My set of prizes might include a brand-new bonus scene, but you didn't hear it from me...) Hope to see you there!

That's it for this month! But I'd love to hear from YOU! Did you do anything fun for Valentine's Day? Get any crazy weather recently? Read any fantastic books? Here's hoping for a productive (and warmer) March!

Have you read any of the To Win A Dark Heart multi-author series yet? Falling for the Crystal Fae by Anabelle Raven just came out in early February, and I'm so intrigued! A mashup of The Snow Queen and Aladdin? Featuring the villains working toward their own happily ever after? Add in that gorgeous cover, and I totally have cartoon heart-eyes!

I read Town of Shadows by Jessica Scarlett last year and couldn't put it down. Secret magic, forbidden romance, hidden identities, a mystery increasing in complexity, and plot twists galore, all in a cool alternate history London setting. And now the sequel, Smoke in the Mirrors, releases TODAY!! Time for me to sign off and get reading... :)

New Release!
