Everyone's arguing MCP vs dashboard. That's the wrong debate. The real question is who actually acts on the data, and right now the answer is still you.

Good Data. No Execution. That's the Gap.

There is a conversation happening across every Amazon agency Slack channel, every LinkedIn comment thread, and every operator group right now.

MCP or dashboard?

People are picking sides. Building arguments. Posting takes.

Here is the thing. It is the wrong debate.

A dashboard shows you the data. You log in, you look, you decide what to do. The dashboard does nothing without you. You are the execution layer.

An MCP gives your AI assistant a live connection to that same data. You can ask questions in plain language. Pull a metric. Surface an insight. But again, nothing happens until you do something with it.

Both are tools. Good tools. But tools are passive by default.

The question nobody is asking is: after the data surfaces, who acts on it?

Right now, for most agencies, the answer is still a human copying insights from one tab and turning them into tasks in another. The dashboard showed the problem. The MCP answered the question. And then someone opened a browser and started making changes manually.

That gap is where agencies are bleeding time. Not from bad data. From good data that just sits there waiting for someone to do something with it.

The next shift in how agencies operate is not about which interface the data comes through. It is about whether anything happens automatically on the other side of the insight.

That is the layer the best operators are starting to build toward. Not a smarter dashboard. Not a fancier MCP connection. A system where the agent surfaces what it found, a human approves or adjusts, and execution happens without anyone opening another browser tab.

MCPs are genuinely useful. Dashboards are genuinely useful. But neither one closes the loop.

The agencies asking that question right now are going to look very different from the ones still arguing about the interface in 12 months.


Prime Day is in June. The clock is already running.

Amazon confirmed it. The event is late June, likely a four-day window around June 23.

What most sellers haven't absorbed yet is that the deadlines already moved with it.

May 26 is the last day to submit Best Deals and Lightning Deals. May 27 is the FBA inventory cutoff for minimal shipment splits. June 5 is the final cutoff for Amazon-optimized shipment splits.

That first cutoff is 15 days from today.

If you are managing multiple clients, this is the week to audit which ASINs are deal-eligible, confirm inventory is moving, and lock in budgets for the PPC ramp that needs to start before the event, not during it.

The sellers who win Prime Day are the ones whose inventory was processed and Prime-ready before the event started. That window is closing fast.

Amazon just made fake Prime Day discounts impossible.

Amazon quietly rolled out a native 365-day price history chart that now lives directly on every product detail page. No Keepa. No browser extension. One click and the buyer sees every price move you made for the past year.

Rufus can now answer questions like "has this been cheaper recently?" by pulling from your own pricing data in real time.

The price-pump playbook is done. Raising your list price from $29 to $49 two weeks before Prime Day so a $24 deal looks like 50 percent off does not work when the chart shows ten months at $29.

Build your Prime Day discount off your real selling price. A genuine 15 percent off a stable base will outperform a fake 40 percent off every time. Coupons and Prime Exclusive Discounts still stack cleanly on top of a stable price. That is now the cleanest path to a deal that actually looks like one.
