Hi ,
Day 5: Connection
Connection is everything. And in the Healthy Six, it is more.
I look at health like a recipe: We have to have a cup of exercise, healthy eating sleep and meditation. We need several tablespoons of gratitude. But for all of this to rise, we need connection
Part of the key to our success in fitness and healthy eating is consistency and accountability. Ask anyone in the live classes - and knowing I am there, or that the other FITFAM are there - is part of the draw. It's even more important with the 21-day nutritional program. Knowing you are doing it together matters.
Read this TOOLKIT on CONNECTION and JOY.
Your challenge today: Call a friend. Tell them you are doing the Healthy Six. Check in on the Community Portal
Six Tips for this weekend:
- Clean out your fridge and your pantry - put the unhealthy foods out of sight. If this is hard with your partner / kids, that's ok. Make the food hard to access and hard to reach.
- If you aren't coming to Meal Prep, Meal Prep yourself. HOW? Rule of THUMB: Set yourself up for success. Prepare your veggies - put chopped lettuce / cabbage in ziplocks, chop your hard veggies put them in tubs, shred veggies, roast veggies - have them on hand and ready to go! Make a pot of quinoa, wild or brown rice, and have protein sources in the fridge and freezer. Make 1-2 soups. Look at the Meal Plans, the Cookbook and the Healthy Six Recipe and decide how you want to eat next week.
- Plan at least one workout this weekend (Saturday 10 am FULL BODY LIVE!).
- Plan your workouts for the week!
- Start writing in your gratitude journal
- Do a longer meditation!
